The “sad dog” only lasted one year as UConn’s logo, soon being replaced by more jovial versions of the husky. This particularly proud version was UConn’s athletic mascot in the 1980s and 1990s. We found him and this script on the bell covers of the marching band’s sousaphones back in 1988.
